Improve Your Photoshop Skills - For Beginner & Intermediate Users
We don’t know anyone with a better understanding of Photoshop than the ever-popular Bud Simpson. So, we asked him to provide a monthly one-hour session on Photoshop. He’ll begin by taking you through the menus and teaching you shortcuts and tricks along the way.
We’ll meet every third Thursday of the month, beginning February 19th. Call to sign up, we have to limit the class size. 816-841-9624.

How-To-Make Panoramas

Our new space will be filled with large panorama images in March. So, we thought we’d let you in on how it’s done. Shooting panoramas used to be a function of having the right hardware. Now, digital imaging makes panoramas much easier and achievable by all types of cameras, even point ‘n’ shoot. Join Brud Jones for a ride on the wide side.

Learn the best practices for storing, handling and filing your digital images. Lightroom Basics and Beyond

Frank Hamilton will teach you how to use Adobe Lightroom to import, edit and output photos. The focus will be on learning a workflow to use minimum disk space and streamline your time at the computer. Learn the editing tools in Library module, the non-destructive correction tools in Develop module, and various output possibilities with an emphasis on Print module. Most importantly learn a Lightroom archiving regimen. The integration of Lightroom and Photoshop will be discussed but this is not a Photoshop class. An extensive list of web resources and a bibliography will be provided, along with keyboard short cuts.
Good Composition Rules and Group Critique

Join noted photographic educator Frank Hamilton for a practical look at the composition rule book. He will go over some of the basics rules of composition, and expand on the Happy Hour Composition workshop he offered in December. Bring 3 photos on a jump drive for a discussion on composition changes that can be used to improve the images.

Learn the steps between when you snap the shot to making a final print. Bud Simpson will teach best practices for getting the image out of your camera, into your computer, how to process the image and prepare it for printing. This is a good class for beginners and intermediate photographers.
